Scope and Field of Application

This specification applies to hydraulic hand op-erated pumps designed for emergency opera-

tion of hydraulic jacks for MAN Diesel & Turbo engine types ME/-C with 2200 bar hydraulic

tool system.

The pump to be used for the above purpose must, as a minimum, comply with this Quality

Specification.

This specification has been prepared to ensure a defined quality of the pump for emergency

operation of the hydraulic jacks, e.g. if the pneumatic pump or the compressed air system

onboard is failing.

1. Scope and field of application

This Quality Specification applies to hydraulic hand operated pumps designed for emergency

operation of hydraulic jacks for MAN Diesel & Turbo engines types ME/-C with 2200 bar hydraulic tool system.

The pump to be used for the above purpose must, as a minimum, comply with this Quality Speci-fication.

This Quality Specification has been prepared to ensure a defined quality of the pump for emer-

gency operation of the hydraulic jacks, e.g. if the pneumatic pump or the compressed air system onboard is failing.

2. Design criteria

2.1. Pump requirements

The pump unit must be of a hand operated 2-stage type with pressure gauge and integrated tank.

Maximum weight: 15 kg (empty tank).
